"Good Evening, we're Juno!, and welcome to the Mill"

Not only the opening words at the launch party a couple of weeks ago, but the start of the first ever Mill live recording. As exciting as the night itself was - and with Juno! jumping around like some neon-clad whac-a-mole game and Thomas Tantrum playing their Glasgow debut it was a hell of a show - for me, the goosebumps came the first time I heard the mp3s. The sound quality, both live and recorded, was one of our highest priorities when planning The Mill, so I was well chuffed to hear how they turned out.
The big highlight of the last few weeks, though, was last Wednesday - the first real Mill night. Both The Moth and The Mirror and How To Swim were fantastic - both new bands to me, but definitely ones to add to the iPod (which you'll be able to do soon, once they've been uploaded to the site). There was also a really good crowd for both bands, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
And it's off to Edinburgh tomorrow to set the Caves up, then Glasgow to see both Tokyoblu and the Kazoo Funk Orchestra join the Mill family - which should a nice shift in tempo from last week - then back to Edinburgh for the launch party there. This has to be too much fun to be real work!
